I am a board-certified Nurse Practitioner with over 15 years of experience in high-acuity medicine. I started my career as an ICU nurse, traveled throughout the country working in Level I trauma centers and post-transplant critical care.
As a Nurse Practitioner I have specialized in nephrology, urology, emergency medicine, and acute care. This diverse background has given me a deep understanding of complex medical conditions, hormone-related symptoms, and how interconnected systems in the body truly are — especially when symptoms don't fit neatly into one specialty.
I founded Prevent & Sustain Medicine because the traditional corporate medical practice was too restrictive in patient care, focused on turnover and profit, incentivizing quick visits and superficial care. I wanted more time with the patient and for the patient to have direct access to me, something that's impossible in that setting.
As someone personally navigating hormonal changes, I understand how often women are dismissed. My years in urology taught me men often suffer silently and women just aren't heard. Men will too often try to "tough it out" and women will just be dismissed as being whiny. That is not how medicine and care should operate. It's my promise to you that with me as your provider, that is NOT how medicine and care will operate.
My approach is straightforward, comprehensive, and collaborative. YOU are in the driver's seat. This is care without rushed appointments, insurance red tape, or one-size-fits-all solutions. My goal is simple: understand why you don't feel well, address the root cause, and help you achieve a better quality of life.
